Justin T. Crane

As the Founder and CEO of Sancus, Mr. Crane’s efforts are focused on deal sourcing, recruiting management teams and operating executives, investment analysis, due diligence, deal execution, and supporting the portfolio companies.  As an independent sponsor, Mr. Crane plays an active role with the portfolio companies by supporting the management teams on their efforts to build exceptional businesses.  Further to that, Mr. Crane has a proven track record of identifying and executing on operational improvements and strategic value creation initiatives post-acquisition.  Mr. Crane has 12+ years of private equity experience with the past 8 years operating as an independent private equity sponsor.  Previously, Mr. Crane was an Investment Associate at Pomona Capital, which is a private equity affiliate of ING that has $6.9+ billion of AUM.  Mr. Crane’s responsibilities included investment analysis, due diligence, structuring, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring across a variety of industries and sectors.  Prior to Pomona Capital, Mr. Crane was a Senior Associate in the Transaction Services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he advised private equity firms and corporations on accounting and valuation issues associated with a variety of complex transactions and structures.  

In 2020, Mr. Crane was appointed to the Council of Advocates for The Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change.  Mr. Crane graduated cum laude from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA, with a B.S. in Business Administration that included an Accounting major and Economics minor.  Mr. Crane is a CPA (inactive license) and is originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Cyle Williams

At Sancus, Mr. Williams is focused primarily on business development where his efforts are centered on building and maintaining relationships with various intermediaries and industry professionals who have access to quality deal flow.  Prior to Sancus, Mr. Williams worked with Mr. Crane at Palomar Capital Management as a VP of Business Development.  Prior to Palomar, Mr. Williams was a VP of Business Development at NinePoint Capital Advisors, which is a boutique investment banking firm as well as a Co-Founder of Ascending Paradigms, which provided buy-side and sell-side consulting services to business owners and private investment firms related to the origination, analysis, and execution of equity and debt investments.  Prior to Ascending Paradigms, Mr. Williams was a Partner at The Better Mouse Trap Co. where he co-invented “The Better Mouse Trap”, which is an animal-friendly, eco-friendly rodent control solution.  In addition to product development, Mr. Williams managed international distribution, sales, and marketing for the company. 

 

Mr. Williams studied business, finance, real estate, and photography at Azusa Pacific University, Folsom Lake College, and Citrus College.  Mr. Williams is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.

Nano Hearing Aids (active)

The Company is a leading direct-to-consumer ("DTC") designer and online retailer of its own affordable, branded hearing aids, on its website and over the phone.  The Company's offers both completely-in-canal ("CIC") and behind-the-ear ("BTE") heairng aids.  

Farren International (exited)

The Company provides specialty industrial logistics solutions, including rigging/de-rigging, millwright work, heavy-haul transportation, turnkey plant relocations, sensitive cargo trucking and other ancillary services.  Its services are generally mission-critical, time-sensitive, and require highly-customized solutions.  The Company's customer base includes Fortune 500 companies and spans a variety of industries.  

Pre-Cast Specialties (exited)

The Company is a precast and prestressed concrete company that manufactures concrete light poles, doubletees, manholes, hollowcores, and other structural building components, which are sold to utilities and general contractors that work in the infrastructure and commercial construction industries.  The Company also provides engineering and consulting services related to structural building components.

Excelin Home Health (active)

The Company provides skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social worker services, home health aid services, and hospice services in patients' homes.  The Company works with a variety of hospitals, physician practice groups, and post-acute facilities.  As an emerging leader in the home health industry, the Company is focused on driving exceptional patient outcomes in the most cost-effective manner.  

The LIT Group (exited)

The Company is a rapidly emerging industry leader, providing services that include:  document processing, court reporting, legal video, trial services, complex case management, and ESI collection, processing, and production.  Founded in 1999, the Company has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years and is looking to expand into other markets through acquisition in the near future.
